Verdure Abode

The Verdure Abode is a museum that educates city residents about the benefits and importance of having nature in their lives. The goal is to inspire city residents to incorporate nature in their homes through interior planting. Better homes, better city, better life.

Jade Madsen . 28 . Designer: She is living in the city and interested in the environment, but has little time to explore outside her city. She lives in a small apartment with her cat. She is a recent graduate and works as a full-time designer. She is rarely home and is missing some inspiration. She also loves the idea of homegrown plants being a constant part of her life.
Dane Nielson . 35 . Science Teacher: is a hard working teacher who loves the environment and makes much effort to be environmentally conscious.He is exceedingly optimistic and wants the whole world to join in. He loves to take students on environmental trips. He is loved by the students but often sees rolling eyes. He is recently married and hopes to have children soon. He has a mostly steady schedule and is rather consistent in habits and daily rituals.
Jasper & Mason Sanders . 35 & 42 . Photographer & Engineer: are married with two children and looking to spend a nice day out. They have Jason(6) and Maddie(9). Mason is a sporty guy with an artsy wife and hyper children. The kids want a pet, but the parents decided to test the kids’ ability to take care of something else first. before allowing them to have a pet. Also, the mother has a secret love for gardening but doesn’t have the outdoor space.
 Nick Anderson . 35 . Partner at Law Firm: He is an outdoorsy type of guy but rarely has spare time due to his job. He lives alone in a condo near work. Most of his time is spent in the office or at home. He misses being in nature and is looking to improve his interior office space.

THE EXPERIENCE
As the guests approach the building, a doorman will direct them to either one of the apartments. Each apartment will have a tour that will begin in the living room and end in the lounge room. Guests will experience the history and benefits of interior planting. They then get a chance to plant their own. Finally, they will be able to enjoy a relaxing sit down in the lounge with other visitors and interior planting experts.
Upon Arrival: As the guests approach the building, a doorman will direct them to either one of the apartments.
Living History: Once  seated in the living room, guests will learn the history of indoor plants. The stories will begin with a movie, which will then expand to surrounding walls and create an enveloping story experience.
Benefits Hall: After Living History, the guests will head to Benefits Hall. Here, they are able to roam a bit and learn the benefits of indoor plants via motion graphic projections, interactive information at plant pots, and takeaway books and pamphlets.
Chance to Roam: In a fully functional kitchen and bath, guests will have a chance to roam. They are also able to view examples of how indoor plants could be displayed in this space.
Planting Studio: This is the part where guests have the opportunity to plant an indoor plant with an instructor taking lead, and take the plant home. They will also be able to ask questions about planting or anything related to indoor plants
Company Lounge: Finally, guests can lounge and enjoy snacks and beverages that come from indoor plants planted at the museum. Guests who are looking for large scale indoor planting will be able to connect with vendors and experts that are guests at the museum.
